Kate & Alex were married in early September at Irnham Hall in South Lincolnshire, & I was so pleased to be a part of their day, capturing their wedding photos in the idyllic Lincolnshire village of Irnham, with an orangery wedding ceremony and reception amongst the beautiful walled garden.  They booked me back in April 2019, with plans to get married in April 2020 which had to be put on hold slightly due to the Covid pandemic. However they didn’t have to wait too long for their day and their beautiful wedding photos, as we went ahead in early September!

Testimonial

“Thank you so so much!! We’ve really enjoyed looking through all of the photos together!  Thank you for making us feel so at ease and really understanding everything we wanted to capture on our day. If anyone needs any recommendations we will definitely let them know!! “ Kate & Alex – Sept 2021

Kate got ready in one of Irnham Hall’s cottages in the village along with her bridesmaids and puppy Zara, which made for perfect bridal getting ready wedding photographs, whilst Alex was a few doors up at the village pub – The Griffin Inn, with his groomsmen and family. It was a short walk up the quaint high street to the stunning sweeping drive of Inrham Hall for the ceremony.

With only 30 guests due to the Covid pandemic, Kate & Alex said their wedding vows in the orangery, with several more guests outside looking in from afar.  With their nearest and dearest family and friends, the orangery wedding ceremony was full of emotion, nerves and smiles as they said I do – a beautiful, bright and airy space as the perfect backdrop for your wedding ceremony photography. We then walked across to the walled garden for the wedding reception, making use of the grand gated entrance for Kate & Alex to be welcomed with a shower of confetti – a key moment for your wedding photos.

The outdoor wedding reception was a great opportunity for plenty of candid wedding photos which are such an important part of your wedding photography – whatever the size or venue. With croquet, frisbee, a game of Mr & Mrs, and a sparkler send off, it was a beautiful late summer’s day which ended with the sun setting over Inrham Hall which we took full advantage of in golden hour for some couples photos around the grounds.

Sunset wedding photos provide such soft, magical light that it should be one of you priorities for your wedding day for spring & summer weddings! This is my favourite part of a wedding day and a key part of my services as your wedding photographer!
