Balearic Island Wedding with Luxe Boho Styling

If you’re looking to get married abroad with a destination wedding in Europe, and dreaming of a picturesque island setting in the Balearics, then this one is for you! Surrounded by mountains, the picturesque approach to rural Fangar in Mallorca, is lined with palm trees as you approach the rustic outdoor wedding venue, making any heart flutter with excitement as you enter the gates to the estate. The perfect island wedding venue.

Fangar is an old Majorcan estate from the 18th century, located in the leafy valley of San Miquel (Campanet) between the forests of the northern Sierra de Tramuntana and the mountains to the south. Fangar is above all, a farm in the heart of Mallorca, with an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity.

The courtyard is the heart of the finca, a great space for an afternoon outdoor wedding breakfast or an intimate celebration. The traditional architecture, natural stone, coloured shutters & vivid flowers climbing up the ancient walls couldn’t feel more Mallorcan or be more enchanting. Monstera plants and giant cactus given a wild desert feel in front of fading ochre walls, scorched and bleached by the sun whilst the pool glistened in the bright sunlight.

German married couple Schuschu & Max have been living the island life for a while life in Mallorca with sunkissed faces, and a laid back vibe. The doting way they looked at each other, and their sense of togetherness made them a dream to photograph, embodying the freespirited nature of a Mallorcan wedding.

Local floral designer La Floreria, showcased several big trends for 2020 by created 3 stunning contemporary bouquets to take the bride from ceremony, right through to the evening with three distinct looks.

Divine Atelier’s knockout dress via The White Closet, had a romantic aesthetic with an alternative edge. Exquisite fabric was paired with a sweeping and fluid silhouette, whilst bohemian freedom laced worked with and an illusion dropped neckline for a sense of modern minimalism

Cowboy Boots gave the bride a bohemian edge perfect for the dusty landscape, whilst neutral tassel earrings by The Vamoose completed the natural look.

modern white suit and a patterned shirt for a laidback yet suave style

Max’s modern white suit gave the shoot all the island vibes, topped off with tasselled loafers and a patterned shirt for a laidback yet suave style.

Judith Durado and her talented team at Mille Papillon adorned the rustic landscape with refined boho styling in earthy & natural tones with sculptural textures reminiscent of the local landscape & Mallorcan style.

In the gardens of Fangar, overlooking the Sierra de Tramuntana, the table was like something from a fairy-tale. Taupe napkins, gold rimmed ombre peach coloured glassware, hessian & raffia placemats and a white washed table by Jaiak came together for a natural, raw, wild aesthetic exuding sophistication.

With heady storms and the occasion downpour, the team set up inside the cellar for a candlelight decadent tablescape. Tassels featured once more, adorning the rose coloured menus. Terracotta napkins, cut glass blackberry cocktails, candlelit hurricane lamps, figs.

With a view out to the estate of Fangar and the mountains beyond, the terrace at Fangar is beyond perfect a setting for a countryside wedding & intimate celebration. Stone walls adorned with autumnal ivy, towering wooden doors in the Arabic style, and an arcadian stonecase built into the wall.

Mille Papillon & Jaiak opted for the design classic of Philippe Stark’s Ghost chairs, so as to not detract from the beautiful setting for a destination wedding. Candlelit hurricane lamps lined the aisle whilst florals of cotton stems, pampas grass & white roses, added drama to the ceremony backdrop of the tall & heavy arched doors.
